Games on the Valve Steam platform can't use the shortcuts correctly. This prevents me from correctly resizing my games to not show the ugly sides of the window. Any idea on how to apply those shortcut properties but on an .exe file? Or.. does ultramon use launch options for changing sizes?

If you don't get the UltraMon tabs under properties for the shortcut, you could create an UltraMon shortcut for the executable manually via UltraMon menu > Shortcuts.

Yeah I noticed something wierd with ultramon and steam shortcuts
Try making a shortcut like this if you are interested in TF2
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\Steam.exe" -applaunch 440 -64bit -novid -console -w 1600 -h 1200 -fullscreen -refresh 60
