Now, I do have a black-themed Firefox, but I can't see the buttons that Ultramon is supposed to install in the upper-right corner by the minimize, etc. buttons. However, some randoms clicks up there will result in the intended functions. What happened?

How did you change the theme? I found no theme option under Firefox options.
For Windows, are you using the classic or Vista Basic style?

You can d/l themes from Firefox's website.
The one I'm running right now is:

I have now tested with the Aero Fox theme, but haven't been able to reproduce this issue, the buttons added by UltraMon work fine for me with Firefox (Vista was set to the Vista Basic style).
The theme also shouldn't make any difference because the title bar doesn't get themed.

I messed around with some of the settings and reverted back to the original Firefox theme but the buttons are still not visible.

Unfortunately I don't know what might cause this.
What's weird is that you can click the buttons even though they're not visible, this used to happen with older versions of UltraMon under Vista, but I'm not sure what would cause this with the 3.0.2 version.
Do the buttons work fine with other applications?

I also recognized this bug - on my machine the buttons disappeared after I switched from 2.71 to the current beta 3.0.2!
Even if I turn the title-bar buttons option on and off again, nothing happens - no buttons visible. In addition I have to say, that I use WindowBlinds to style my shell. But I never had problems with it in combination with UltraMon - only some small things like "no perfect styling of the 2nd taskbar" ... but I could live with that.
After switching to 3.0.2 I was very happy, because the additional taskbar is now styled correctly :) But my title buttons disappeared :( - even in programms, which are not styled by WindowBlinds...

I'm not sure what would cause this, most likely a conflict of some sort with another application.
For further troubleshooting, you could try shutting down other background applications, then restart UltraMon to check if the problem still occurs.

Similar problems as the others:
1. Buttons not visible, but can be activated by 'blind' clicking.
2. Ultramon taskbar still rendering a black line above the taskbar. Somebody complained about this in a previous beta release and I thought this had been rectified.
