Forums -> UltraMon™ -> Dual screensaver works, but collapses monitors when resuming

So far I'm really enjoying the program, but I'm having a few issues.

I have the screensaver set to dual monitors, starfields on each. It goes into screensaver mode fine, but when I resume operations there is a second or two and it seems like Ultramon shuts down and everything collapses back to my main monitor. So I have to restart Ultramon and all the settings.

I get the same problem when I shut down/start up. If I leave everything connected and shut down, at start-up it looks like it remembers the settings then collapses back to the main monitor.

Ultramon (and my PC without Ultramon) won't allow the external monitor to be the primary monitor unless I go into advanced monitor settings and select the "Intel(R) Graphics Media Accelerator Driver for Mobile" settings. And doing that seems to Upset Ultramon. I do not want to upset Ultramon.

Google toolbar doesn't have an easy move-it-to-the-next-monitor button. I can live with that, but ot would be a nice feature.

Thank you!

OK, I upgraded from 2.7 to the latest beta version and that appears to have solved the screensaver issue, but not the boot issue. I think I can live with this though.

Do the applications get moved to the primary monitor when you resume from standby/hibernation?

Yes - when I resume from screensaver or hibernation, everything is on both monitors for an instant, then the external turns off and everything moves over to the primary laptop monitor (taskbar, apps, google sidebar).

I have a shortcut to setup on the desktop to turn on my monitor settings, but then I have to drag the toolbars back. The buttons at the top of the apps are great for sending windows where I want them.

I installed the new 3.0 beta 2, and that seemed to solve the problem. But when it was in screensaver mode for an extended period of time, all kinds of little task apps appeared on resume that I couldn't shut them down (and some funky stuff started happening).

I can try again with the beta and get some screenshots if that would be helpful.

Installing the Smart Taskbar update on top of 3.0 Beta 2 should fix the problem with the phantom task buttons.
