Given the following applications.
Monitor A. Left side, has Remote Desktop open full screen. Monitor B. Has other applications. Is the primary screen. Smart Taskbar is enabled on 2nd monitor.
In 2.7.1 the Smart Taskbar is hidden when Remote Desktop has focus, however, if I change focus to another applicaton on the other monitor, the Smart Taskbar stays behind the Remote Desktop window.
In 3.0 beta1, this is fixed, however, if I click on the button in the smart taskbar to go back to my Remote Desktop window, I have to minimize the window, and then maximize it again, otherwise the Smart Taskbar stays over the Remote Desktop window even though Remote Desktop has the focus.
Unfortunately, I reverted back to 2.7.1 as it did not fix my primary issue (VS2008 crash), and the two taskbar entries for MSTSC was aggrivating (i use 3-4 MSTSC windows all day long).
This is the about-box for 2.7.1, the 3.0 setup was the same.

I'm not sure what would cause this, 3.0 Beta 1 should have the same behavior as 2.7.1 in this regard, I also haven't been able to reproduce this issue, for me the UltraMon taskbar always stayed hidden with a fullscreen Remote Desktop session open.
What are your taskbar settings? I tested with always on top, not autohide.

It was a rather subtle thing. Steps I took to repro.
1) Installed Ultra Mon 3.0 Beta1 2) Set secondary monitor to have TaskBar. (Non-Mirror mode) Taskbar is set to 3 rows for applications and one row reserved for icon toolbars for quick launch. 3) Opened Remote Desktop in Full Screen mode (16x12 on my setup) on the secondary monitor. 4) Noticed the "Input Window" item on the primary monitor. 5) RDP window took focus and covered Smart Taskbar. 6) With RDP still maximized, changed focus to an application on the primary monitor. 7) Smart Taskbar covered RDP window as expected to show tasks present. 8) Clicked on taskbar item to go back to work in RDP window. 9) RDP received focus and could use windows on remote pc, however Smart Taskbar still covered the bottom portion of the window as if it didn't have focus.
Hopefully this helps, if not, I can wait until Beta 2 is out and see if it happens again. I no longer have it installed, so the steps were reproduced from memory.

Maybe it's due to the duplicate task buttons, let me know if you still see this with 3.0 Beta 2.
