Christian,
Is there a time frame for a next release? It's been a while now. I've seen in previous posts you've mentioned "close to the end of the year". Are you still on track for a release in this timeframe? Some sort of blurb about how you are doing would make me feel better about my $40.
Thanks!

I don't think that there will be a new version. For me it looks like that the developer earned enough and this is a dead project. very sad.
please correct me if i'm wrong. but where is the problem to develop a "small" app like ultramon in faster steps? a developers comment about the situation would be nice.

I'm a developer. It's typical for a smaller app to be published more iteratively smaller modifications released for quality assurance more often), but it's not imperative. There are several other methodologies that he might be using.
The problem is that if your customers pay for a product with the understanding it will be updated (the only reason I purchased UltraMon is because he guaranteed free upgrade to the final version), they need some reassurance that the product is being developed on. Screenshots, blog posts, etc would make me feel like my $40 hasn't been spent at the bar.

Beta 2 is still on track for release before the end of the year, most of the work is done.

Christian Studer that is great news!
I love UltraMon, and have been using it since 2.7.
I can't find any issues with the current 3.0 beta 1 exept for when update (e.g. uninstall&reinstall) my nVidia drivers, then choose "Enable Secondary" in UltraMon, the only way to get "the mouse" to the second monitor I have to go all the way to the left of the screen instead of the right way :).
This is fixable by using nVidia nView control panel to set DualView, then UltraMon works flawless (sec. on/off).
Looking forward to v. beta 2!
/Ray

Great to hear it's still on track. I'm eagerly awaiting Beta 2. I couldn't live without Ultramon for dual monitors :)

Its really quite amazing that Ultramon is such a valuable tool. Despite its numerous bugs and incredibly slow release schedule, I also couldn't live without it.
I dream of the day there is some competition for this market.

I'm glad you are responding Christian. The taskbar memory bug is really really starting to get on my nerves =/
