You can start UltraMon via the shortcut in Start Menu > Programs.

Looks like I may have run into the same issue.
Whenever I launch an application called eWallet by Iliumsoft and try to run it on any other than the primary display, Ultramon crashes with this error message:

UltraMon Taskbar encountered a fatal error and will exit. This usually happens when the system is low on memory or other resources, but might also happen for other reasons.

As per the Windows Task Manager I have plenty of memory/CPU left.
My system specs:
XPPro SP2 – all patches
3 UXGA displays (2x via Matrox P650, 1 x via Goodway/DisplayLink USB-DVI adapter)
Ultramon 3.0 Beta 1 (I could not get Ultramon 2.x to work with the USB-DVI adapter)
Any ideas how to fix this?

This issue has been fixed for the next release.
There's no real workaround, but the Smart Taskbar should work fine again if you restart it. The issue is not due to a lack of memory or other resources.

When do you plan on releasing this update?
AFAIK , this beta was released back in April and is the only/the still most recent one. Maybe it would be a good idea to make another beta version available to the public again? :) :)
...or if you want someone to test it, I would be more than happy give it a try :) :)
As you tell, I would love to get my hand on a fix for that issue rather sooner than later. Yes, one can restart the Ultramon, but it is rather annoying if you use like in my case eWallet quite often.
