Let me try to explain this, I have XP SP2, I'm using two screens in Dualview mode and I recently installed Ultramon 2.7.1 and ever since I've been getting an error with the game Kingdoms (expansion of Medieval 2 which works regardless of Ultramon), the generic error Kingdoms.exe has encountered an error and needs to close. This can be fixed by restoring the machine to a time before Ultramon was installed.
Help is appreciated.

Does the problem go away if you close UltraMon before starting the game?
To close UltraMon, right-click the UltraMon icon in the system tray and select Close from the menu.

It seems to get the error regardless if UltraMon is running or not and I only get it when UltraMon has been installed.

Maybe it's related to UltraMon's mirroring feature.
To uninstall the mirroring feature, go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs, select UltraMon from the list, click on Change, then deselect the mirroring feature on the Customize Installation screen.
You'll need to reboot for the change to take effect.
