hello,

I am testing ultramon on a Thinkpad t42p with an ATI mobility fire GL T2 inside and a docking station with 2 monitor outlets

When i try to set the saved docking profile ultramon doesn't recognize that now two external monitors exist.

I always have to set it manually:

right mouse button on desktop -> Settings -> expanded (or whatever "Erweitert" in English means) ATI Control Panel -> Display

and activate the second external monitor by hand.

Is there any solution to automate this?

The built in IBM presentation always change the monitos correct (but has not the nice dual monitor features ultramon has).

With this IBM presentation manager i can change my network settings too with the ability of the program to execute an external command after monitor profile is changed.

Is there any chance to run and .cmd file automatically after profile changed with ultramon?

Regards JamesT

Please send me the system information you get from UltraMon's About dialog after docking the laptop but before enabling the external monitors via the ATI software.

To access the About dialog, right-click the UltraMon icon in the system tray and select About from the menu.

Regarding launching a batch file: this is not supported directly, but you could create a batch file which applies the display profile, then does other stuff.

To apply a profile from a batch file, run the following command:

"C:\Program Files\UltraMon\UltraMonShortcuts.exe" /l C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Realtime Soft\UltraMon\Profiles\<profile>

Please note that profiles are stored in a different folder for UltraMon 3. You can get the folder path by selecting Display Profiles > Manage Display Profiles from the UltraMon menu.

Thanks for the information.

My guess would be that the monitor numbers are switched when docking, and the profile then tries to apply the display settings to the wrong monitor.

To check if UltraMon is actually able to enable the secondary monitor after docking, go to UltraMon menu > Display Settings and try if enabling the secondary monitor works fine.
