im trying ultramon 2.7.1 and have some problems.

What i use it for is to easy swith primary screens, since laptop is connected to a lcd tv.

laptop screen is 1920x1200, tv is 1360x768

problems:

have a nvidia 7900gs card set to dualview. If i change anything in nvidia controll panel, it gets mixed up what is the primary display.

an example is that you cant drag anything to the other display. its also a problem changing back to laptop display only. A solution is to start the laptop without the dvi cable, then its ok.

when in tv as primary display (1360x768) if i start a game, it is shown in a small middle are of the tv with black borders.

one solution is to uninstall.

spec

vista premium 32bit
geforce 7900gs

What happens if you try to set the laptop monitor as primary again?

if laptop is set to primary, game is in full screen.

Tv set as primary, game is a small screen in the middle of the tv.

with ultramon installed, the settings get messed up if i by mistake even use fn+f8 once.

And this only happens if you set the TV as primary via UltraMon?

If you change the primary monitor via Fn+F8 or the Nvidia software, the problem doesn't occur?

i cant use fn+f8 with ultramon installed.

i can do 1 monitor change with fn+f8, after that it doesnt work.

Changing from dualview in the control panel doesnt work, but thats probably because of the dvi cable.

im trying to figure out why a game launches in a small area on the tv when set as primary.

Unfortunately I don't know what would cause the problem with Fn+F8.

I tested on a Dell Latitude D430 with Intel graphics, switching primary monitors via Fn+F8 behaved the same way with and without UltraMon installed (version 2.7.1 on 32-bit Vista).

The issue with the game size on the TV could happen for two reasons (not related to UltraMon):

- the game is not running at the same resolution as the TV, and the TV is configured not to upscale lower than native resolutions

- the TV is not configured properly for the resolution used by the game, you'll need to change display size/position via controls provided by the TV or the video card driver

yes , i dont know either.

every game starts in a 640x screen of the lcd tv.

changing resolution doesnt mmean a thing.

impossible to get a game showing full screen on second primary monitor
