Common when can we see an update here? Are we shooting for centennial releases here or what? (nudge-nudge)

The second 3.0 beta is still under development, I don't have a release date yet.

Is it possible to release an intermediate version?

Slow updates are really killing the usage and popularity of a program... especially if the reported issues are really disturbing.

As a windows Vista user, I'd love to see an update also, but can only assume by the release schedules, this is an application you must be working on after your day job so I guess its understandable. So far my only complaint with the current beta is the title bar buttons don't match the look of my other title bar buttons, and don't work at all with Aero. Also doesn't the button doesn't seem to move my IE window at all.

Currently I have no plans for an intermediate release.

If you get frequent Smart Taskbar errors, I would recommend installing version 2.7.1 instead, which won't have those issues. The main disadvantage is that the Smart Taskbar won't match the Vista look, and the wallpaper manager won't work correctly if you have a monitor to the left of the primary.

KevinB, you'll need to disable protected mode for IE to get this working, the option is under Tools > Internet Options > Security. This issue will be fixed in the next release.

I agree with the other posters. I recently switched to Vista/Aero and Ultramon now only offers a fraction of the functionality it did under XP (especially the max to fullscreen and send to other desktop buttons are a big miss).

I'm a paying UM user and that + the statement that a new version is being worked on keeps me sticking with UltraMon for now...

But I'm already looking for other tools that CAN provide the functionality I lost...

Hi Chris,

I agree with the other users. I'm running Vista and around 25 licenced copies of UltraMon (around the office). As a Microsoft partner, we've moved many of our office machines to vista for testing and support.

However the issues and reduced functionality have caused me to uninstall Ultramon and nearly all machines. I understand the difficulty in releasing new versions but this is really starting to put a black mark on your excellent software.
