Using beta 5 update 2 on W2k Pro +SP2
Great facility BUT I am having serious problems with Smart Taskbar in Standard mode. The problem is that the App Taskbar buttons on the Taskbar are always changing order. I select a button, right click to close it and find that I have closed another app! Or, Outlook might move from first to last position on the Taskbar. I might 8 or 9 apps open on the desktop, but the Taskbat buttons never stay in the same order like they did with the 'old' Taskbar

Currently the Smart Taskbar doesn't remember a task button's previous position, so if you move an app to a different monitor and back, the button will be added at the end of the taskbar instead of the previous position.
I'll fix this in one of the next releases, but can't guarantee that the fix will make it into Beta 6.

This is happening with apps all on the SAME monitor, I am NOT moving apps from one monitor to another. It seems to be happening as you go from one app to another. It does not always happen, and I cannot put my finger on what seems to trigger the change of position on the Taskbar. All I am doing is selecting the app using the Taskbar button to bring it to the front of the desktop, minimise or close it.

I can't reproduce this problem on my system.
Did you notice if the problem occurs if a specific application is running?
Also let me know what setup you are using:
- number of monitors
- position of the Windows taskbar and UltraMon taskbars. Does each taskbar show only tasks from the monitor is on?

I have now been able to reproduce this, I noticed it happening occasionally when minimizing a task by left-clicking on the already selected button. I'll look into this, should be fixed in the next beta.
