It seems that if I launch ultramon, then save the icon positions, and then shut down ultramon (simulating a reboot) then when it comes back up, if I had changed the icon positions and click restore positions, it doesn't remember what it was the last time it was saved.
Basically the save icons seems to be for the session of ultramon and not permanent. Is this the expected behavior or am I missing something? If this is expected, can we add a feature request to be able to save more permanently.

By default UltraMon automatically saves icon positions during shutdown, to prevent this go to UltraMon Options > General and uncheck 'preserve position of desktop icons'.
You can still save/restore icon positions manually.
