Once I've moved an application to my monitor using UltraMon, how do I switch the mouse pointer between monitors so I can work between two applications? Right now the pointer is on my laptop, but a couple of times it has "jumped" with the application switch and the only way I could figure how to get it back to the laptop was by shutting down the monitor.

You can just move the mouse to the other monitor, for example if the external monitor is to the right of the laptop screen, you would need to move the mouse to the left to move it from the external monitor back to the laptop screen.
To adjust monitor positions, right-click the UltraMon icon in the system tray and select Display Settings from the menu.
