I've trialed ultramon twice now and have had to restore my system to recover from what appears to me to be a corrupt video driver.
I can't say conclusively at this point whether ultramon is contributing to the corruption. I was wondering if this is a problem anyone else has expereinced. I'd like to trial the software again.
The problem manifests as an apparently frozen desktop, then I reboot and am back to a single screen in 640x480 resolution. The message from windows is the driver cannot be used because it appears to be for a prior version of windows - which has lead me to the assumption the video driver stack is somehow corrupt.
I restore to a ghost image that predates my ultramon install and all is fine.
I ran the ultramon trial for 15 days or more several months ago before this happened. I then recently installed ultramon again and had this occur only days after.
As you can see this does not rule out other possible causes, but it was enough to make me consider if ultramon is a factor.
Here's my info out of dxdiag in case it is releveant. Ultramon is currently not installed.
I was also wondering how many people use ultramon beyond the trial period so as to get an idea of how likely it is that my configuration has been replicated by other ultramon users.

This seems to be a compatibility issue with some video card driver versions, uninstalling UltraMon's mirroring feature should fix the problem.
To do this, go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs, select UltraMon from the list, click on Change, then deselect the mirroring feature on the Customize Installation screen of the setup.
