I've got a 2nd monitor connected to the DVI port on my nVidia 6600 card, and using the nvidia drivers i can get the dual display working without a problem, but when i fire up UltraMon, it only sees the primary display...

Any ideas?

You'll need to change from span mode to Dualview mode, this option is under advanced display properties > Nvidia tab > nView Display Settings.

Clone mode?

You'll need to select Dualview mode, clone mode shows the same thing on both monitors.

You should have the following nView display mode options:

Single display
Clone
Horizontal Span
Vertical Span
Dualview

and if i'm missing Dualview?

Unfortunately I don't know why you wouldn't have this option, as far as I know that should always be available.

I have a Matrox Parhelia 128 and it's not detecting my second monitor.. although my second monitor is analog with a DVI converter.. would that have anything to do with it and if so.. how would i fix it?

If Windows detects it, UltraMon should see it as well.

If Windows thinks you have a single large monitor instead of two, you'll need to change from stretch mode to independent displays mode via Matrox PowerDesk.
