Forums -> UltraMon™ -> Question on mirroring and 3D

I am trying to run a game that only supports 800x600 and 1024x768 and mirror the output to my HDTV. The TV likes a 1776x1000 resolution inside a 1080i timing. So with UltraMon I was able to run my laptop LCD at 1024x768 and mirror it to 1776x1000 to the TV. It looked great (and ATI software would not let me do this). Now my question is, when I run the game it does not refresh to the TV. I assume this might be because the mirroring is software-rendered and not hardware-rendered. The TV display only refreshes around the mouse cursor in little blocks. So if you move the mouse around you start getting the same image.

Is this expected behavior or is there a way to get this working better?

Thanks!

You could disable 3D hardware acceleration under mirroring options, but please note that the game may no longer run, and performance and image quality will suffer.
