We're using a Dual Xeon 3.2Ghz HP with 2.5GB RAM, NVida NV285 pcie card, along with 4 Quadra FX600 PCI cards. We're attempting to control 9 37" LCD monitors with this PC and we're having some issues.

Our second issue might be something else, but I'd like to see if anyone else has had similar trouble.

We are running a custom web app that pulls production data and displays that information in an Internet Explorer window. We will have a different window in each of the 9 monitors. At the moment, I can open up all 9 windows on the main display, and the CPU usage for IE stays under 10%. However, once I move each window to it's corresponding monitor (using the Move Monitor button on the menu bar) the CPU usage spikes dramatically, bouncing between 60-90%.

Seeing that I can have many windows open on a single display, I am hesitant to question our web app. With dual 3.2GHz Xeon 2mb cache processors, and 2.5Gb RAM, along with 5 high end video cards, I am wondering why we are having such performance degradation when simply pushing out the windows to different displays.

After a couple hours of running, the IE windows on all alternate windows are crashing, leaving only the main display up. I have been tweaking system settings all day, but I can't seem to drop the CPU usage down, which is what I believe is causing the troubles.

We are running the latest WHQL x64 drivers released by Nvidia, with all MS updates.

Any suggestions?

Unfortunately I don't know what might cause this.

To check if this is related to UltraMon, please try if you have the same problem when moving the windows manually, without UltraMon running.
