UltraMon is by far the best multi-monitor support tool.
A nice feature would be for ulra-mon to move the task bar from the primary monitor and put it on the second or the third monitor. To make it seem like one large monitor.

Thanks for your suggestion.
I looked into this for UltraMon 3, but so far haven't been able to get an extended Windows taskbar working.

I hope I didn't confuse you with what I was asking, maybe you did understand me but I sure didn't understand myself when I looked back at this and re-read what i was saying, because it didn't make sence to me. lol. :)
You may have answered it, but i took a dumbpill this morning.
I'm actually asking, it is possible to move the system tray to another monito and/or the start button.
I run three monitor 1,2,3 respectivly and right now I have the windows start bar on monitor 1 and the ultramon bar on 2 and 3, (monitor 2 is the primary monitor) i'm looking to have the start button on monitor 1 and the system tray on monitor 3. (ok thats is more clear i think)
I have this feeling you answered it above, right ??

Moving the system tray to an UltraMon taskbar is also something I'm going to look into for UltraMon 3, I don't know yet if it's actually possible though.

If your monitors are setup all side by side and 1 is on the left, 2 is in the middle and 3 is on the right then you can already do this (most likely).
Ultramon doesn't support it but your video card drivers might. I've never actually done it with three monitors, I have with two.
If it's an nvida card go to the advanced display properties then the tab with your cards name. Then nview display settings and pick for your display mode "Horisontal span".
I don't like setting it like this though because then all monitors share a common windows taskbar, which means if you open someone on monitor three it just shows on the one taskbar and unless you've got a lot of stuff opens that means it shows on monitor 1.
I also believe ATI drivers support this. The only thing is you may not be able to span the windows taskbar across multiple monitors if the monitor is on a diffrent video card.

I have tried the horizontal span, back when I did my first dual monitor setup. I don't like the setting either. I like the idea of seperate taskbars for each monitor. I was thinking that, the request can't be done because, it would actually require affecting the original widows taskbar. The system tray is not removable from the taskbar (I think). Makeing a system tray on a ultramon taskbar could be done, the question is removing it from the windows taskbar.
If not a system tray could you add clocks and other stuff, since the clock is removable (hide clock in taskbar properties) from the system tray/taskbar.

Hi!
here
I have noticed about a regedit trick that disables system tray.
Maybe this could help.
So, only need to be able to create the system tray in the ultramon taskbars. (also disabling clock and all is gone!)
But i found a mistake in this trick that is HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE. Correct is: HKEY_CURRENT_USER
have fun! best regards. exyron.

Would it also be possible to simply remove the whole task menu, then use an ultramon menu on both monitors? I may be overdoing it here though.

I think there's an application which removes the Start button, but I would prefer to use the regular Start menu instead of doing a custom one if possible.
