A friend has v2.6.23.0 and has had trouble with Smart Taskbar since doing a repair install on XP SP2. The taskbar items will disappear on both monitors when Smart Taskbar is enabled, reappearing as normal when disabled. I haven't tried an uninstall/reinstall yet, but wanted to get your take first.
Also, is Ultramon compatible with various custom desktop skins and themes such as DesktopX, Windowblinds, etc. available on Wincustomize.com and other sites?

Resetting the Smart Taskbar configuration should fix this, to do this close UltraMon, then delete the registry key 'HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Realtime Soft\UltraMon\Smart Taskbar'.
After restarting UltraMon, a new default configuration will get created for the Smart Taskbar.
Only Style XP visual styles are fully supported, with WindowBlinds you'll have a couple of issues, for example the taskbar won't be fully skinned, and the window buttons added by UltraMon may not work.
