Hmm. So, I have UltraMon on Windows 64-bit on an AMD platform. I keep getting a slew of MsiInstaller (EventID 1001 and 1004) events in the event log.

Detection of product '{9CDA9CA7-C5F0-4308-B160-6A477D900D6D}', feature 'UltraMon' failed during request for component '{A3973818-FEF8-4B7B-8757-3A398C1F759B}'

Detection of product '{9CDA9CA7-C5F0-4308-B160-6A477D900D6D}', feature 'UltraMon', component '{2D5248B0-58BE-4523-ABE7-98C50395CFF1}' failed. The resource 'HKEY_CURRENT_USER(64)\Software\Realtime Soft\UltraMon\' does not exist.

I uninstalled and reinstalled with the newest version two days ago.

Any suggestions?

I'm going to look into this for the next release, for some reason the installer issues warnings on Windows x64 even though the components mentioned are actually installed correctly and working fine.

FYI, I seems to slow my boot up, since it drops about twenty such events in there, but otherwise seems to function normally.

What is the next Release? This posting was back in Aug, and I have customers that are running the 2.6 version and still getting the error.

I don't have a release date for 2.7 yet.

You can safely ignore the error messages, UltraMon was installed successfully and will work fine.

I have been getting this error for some time also.

i also get this error and about 15 others on booting. Is it odd that it is a msinstaller error?
Event Type: Warning
Event Source: MsiInstaller
Event Category: None
Event ID: 1004

i am not sure but it seems to be looking at a registry key that isnt there. there is no HKEY_CURRENT_USER(64) there is just HKEY_CURRENT_USER in the registry.
Christian Studer   2006-09-21 01:59
HKEY_CURRENT_USER(64) means the 64-bit key, which is the regular HKEY_CURRENT_USER.

A subset of user registry entries is available in a 32-bit version, these are stored under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\Wow6432Node.
