Good Morning
Using Win XP Pro and WinDvd 4 player to play a DVD movie. I can display a window from the DVD player on the second monitor vis Ultramon. I get audio but no video. If I disable "secondary monitor" and restart the DVD player I get the video and audio, but of course I only have one screen. With both monitors "on" and running the DVD player I get not video. The second monitor needs to be off.

I used similar set up under Win 98SE using Ultramon with the same settings (and DVD software and hardware). The DVD movie display correctly on the second monitor. I have dual boot capabilities and can run the DVD player in 98 with ultramon, switch (reboot) to XP and it won't display video.

I am now I'm running this under XP Pro with reloaded DVD player (so the pointers are using XP and not the 98 setup). Any ideas what I should try to get video on the second monitor?

Additional: Here is a system infor from the ultramon About page. The only thing that looks kinda strange is Device info for monitor #1 - Display - Monitor info. I have only two monitors and I would assume two displays. Should display 1 be monitor 1 also?

2 monitors
Current desktop: 1824x768 (0,0 - 1824,768)

Monitor 1 - Plug and Play Monitor (primary):
Settings: 1024x768, 32-bit color, 60 Hz refresh rate
Coordinates: 0,0 - 1024,768. Workspace: 0,0 - 1024,738
Video card: NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200
Device: \\.\DISPLAY1\Monitor3

Monitor 2 - Plug and Play Monitor:
Settings: 800x600, 32-bit color, 75 Hz refresh rate
Coordinates: 1024,0 - 1824,600. Workspace: 1024,0 - 1824,600
Video card: NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200
Device: \\.\DISPLAY2\Monitor2

I would try a different DVD player, for example PowerDVD has good multi-monitor support.

Most likely it's not a hardware issue, it's odd though that it worked fine on Windows 98.

The monitor information looks fine, the monitor number shown under Device doesn't necessarily have to be the same as the real monitor number.
