I have a geforce 2 gts (6.50 drivers) and two matrox milleniums with the default win2k drivers. I use ultramon and wallpaper designer (gradient color backgrounds). If i try to shut down or restart win2k, it does nothing. I usually get a "DEVLDR NOT RESPONDING" box, but even if i make it 'end now', Win2k still does not shut down. It just hangs and does nothing. I play counter-strike via an ultramon shortcut that disables the secondarys and they reenables them after 20 seconds. I also use the chaossoft matrix screensaver. Does anybody have any ideas as to what is going on and/or how to stop it?
Please help me, chris keleshian

Devldr is part of LiveWare 3 for SoundBlaster cards. Just delete the file devldr32.exe and all should be fine. A customer did that, no problems afterwards.

It boots a lot faster and the SB still works perfectly My System: Dell Precision 420 with Win 2K Scomea@lycos.com

I tried deleting that devldr32.exe file. After that, I could not access the CD-ROM using Realplayer or RealJukeBox. It does seem to fix the shutdown/logoff problem though. Should I reinstall realplayer/realjukebox after deleting the file? Is there another solution?
I have 18 Microns that all exhibit this same behavior. Since it IS a known problem with W2K and Soundblaster; which THEY provided in their contract, should I pursue a solution with Micron?

It's worth a try, but I don't have a SoundBlaster card here so can't guarantee anything.
Also take a look at the UltraMon FAQ for more information on this issue.
