Here iss omething I run into when I play games on my primary monitor. I'll try to explain what happens, and what I WANT to happen. Maybe ultramon or some other tool can help me out.
Problem:
When I play a game, I typically play at a lower resolution that I use for my desktop. I have some applications maximized on the second monitor, and when I start the game (and the resolution changes), the maximized applications, get shifted right (because the desktop size is shrinking) and I don't see the entire window.
What I want to happen:
When I start a game, and the resolution changes, I want the applications on the second monitor to stay where they are at, and not get shifted over. Maybe a remaximizing or something?
Any one have any ideas?
Thanks,
Brent

Well, the shortcuts with ultramon seem to help a bunch. I didn't play with them much before.
A more automatic solution would be better though. Let me know if anyone comes up with anything.
Thanks

You could also use a custom display profile which moves the secondary monitor to the left of the primary, this will also fix the problem.
See the FAQ for more on this issue.
