Is it possible to mirror the whole screen in (this including windows applications) to a.a notebook display and b.to a second monitor ?

By chosing the taskbars/mirrored it still is like I have got 2 monitors being able to chose between them. I would like to have 2 times exaclty the same screen, is that possible with Ultramon ? And if it is, what exactly is to do ?

Thank you in advance

You can use the mirroring feature to do this, UltraMon menu > Mirroring. Please note that mirroring is only available on Windows 2000/XP or later.

Thank you very much, this worked, just as I had imagined...

Unfortunately, I still can't use UltraMon the way I meant to... I have a P4 2,4 GHz cpu with 512 mb ram and a geforce 420ti go (as for the hardware) and my main intention was to have the second monitor show a clone of a 3d-application on 1600*1200 and windows xp - as far as it goes to the desktop, everything works out fine, but as soon as I start the program, the second monitor only shows fragments of it, in a wrong resolution - turning off hardware acceleration didn't have any effect. Is there anything more I can do ?

Unfortunately no, mirroring usually won't work with 3D applications. Disabling hardware acceleration might work, but this depends on the operating system and application.

One thing you can try is the old version of UltraMon mirroring, MirrorMon, available from the add-ons page. This works fine with 3D applications, but is a lot slower than the new version, for most applications it will probably be too slow.

BTW, your video card should also support hardware mirroring, this would work fine with 3D applications. Look for clone mode in the Nvidia settings.
