Just a thought here...

When playing games I normally disable Monitors 2 and 3 as only the Main Primary monitor is useful for most games. However I now have these two Black 17" monitors doing nothing for hours on end as I get involved in a 16Hours on-Line games of Empire Earth.

Question is, Would it be possible to display an Image (Jpg, BMP, whatever) on Monitors 2 and 3. Things like shortcut keys and the like (There are hundreds in EE). Would make the spare monitors useful when playing....

This will work fine, but UltraMon isn't needed for this. Most image viewers should work fine on secondary monitors, you can also use Internet Explorer.

If you have the problem that the contents of the secondary monitor get shifted when the game starts: see the FAQ for workarounds. You could use UltraMon display profiles to implement both workarounds.

Christian,

Thanks for the prompt reply. Only problem is the Second and third monitor, if left "Active" causes a whole new batch of issues with different games. Mouse scrolls off to second monitor while in the game, Other applications can (MSN, GameVoice, etc..) at times take focus and cause Crashes or other unwanted strangeness. It would be nice if the Second and Third Monitor could be "Disabled In Image Mode" and show a preset image, sort of an expansion on the Custom Display Profiles. Just a thought.

Using disabled monitors isn't possible (at least not reliably), but what should be possible is preventing other applications from getting to the foreground. I'll consider this for a future release.

Locking the mouse to the primary monitor can be done using a hotkey: Options > Hotkeys, Lock mouse to primary monitor. You could then press the hotkey before launching the game, and press it again afterwards to unlock the mouse.
