Forums -> UltraMon™ -> Smart Taskbar bug (?)

The program Miranda is positioned on my second monitor but the icon get's displayed on the taskbar of the first monitor.
An icon getting displayed on any taskbar shouldn't happen in the first place (and it doesn't without Smart Taskbar being enabled), it should only be displayed in the system tray.

I just started using UltraMon so I'm wondering if it's a problem for Miranda or if it's a bug in Smart Taskbar.
If it is a ST bug, is it a common problem?
If so, two extra option added to the right click menu on taskbar icons if it's realy a problem making the program work out where and if an icon should be displayed.
Option 1: "Don't display this icon at all"
Option 2: "Place this icon on monitor x"

Do you mean the Miranda contact list which appears when double-clicking the Miranda icon in the system tray?

Works fine for me, no task button is added for the contact list. I tested on Windows XP SP1 with Miranda 0.2.1.

Please let me know what operating system and version of Miranda you are using.

I'm using Windows 2000 sp3 and Miranda 0.2.1 (nightly builds)

It apears this problem only occurs when you launch UltraMon on a completely running system.
After a reboot everything seems to work fine now

Trying to reproduce the problem I did discover a we bug though.
If I right click the ST and tell it to close the ST option is still enabled in the UltraMon options. It's only after disabling it and re-enabling it in the options the ST appears again.

This is by design, but I agree that this behavior can be confusing. To quickly disable/enable the Smart Taskbar, go to Options > Customization and enable the custom menu command 'disable/enable the Smart Taskbar'.

Regarding the Miranda issue: sometimes restarting the Smart Taskbar can cause strange behavior like this, even though it should usually work fine. I'm not sure what exactly causes this, seems to be related to the hook used by the Smart Taskbar.
