I've noticed a problem that I can't seem to get rid of and it drives me crazy :-) I've noticed it with earlier versions of UltraMon and now that I'm runnign v2.1 it's still around. The issue is only with outlook XP and it's reminder popup window for calendar events. Basically what will happen is when the program is first loaded everything is fine but then after a little while it's space on the taskbar moves from the correct display to the smart taskbar on the secondary display while the application still stays on the correct display. Outlook is the only application this happens with so I'm not sure what's going on. Any ideas?

Does the task button for the reminder window move to the other monitor, or the task button for the main Outlook window?

I have this same problem with a few other programs. I have seen it happen with Adobe Photoshop and Macromedia Dreamweaver. I have not seen the problem with Outlook XP tho.

I am running Windows XP Pro, with version 2.1 of UltraMon.

Is there some way to reproduce these problems (ie do this, then that, ...)?

I also have Outlook XP and Photoshop Elements, but haven't noticed any problems so far.

Both the reminder window and the outlook window's taskbar buttons shift to the other monitor.. I'm never able to notice exactly when it happens but usually after a little while with them minimized, the buttons will jump over to the other monitor. I can always fix it temporarily by restoring the windows to view, then moving them to the other monitor and back again.

Oh yeah.. and it seems to happen both on my laptop and my desktop so it's not localized to a single computer. I'll see what I can do about finding out how to reproduce it.. I'll have to be more attentive when it happens :)

Ok I found a way to reproduce the problem with the following steps. Open outlook, minimize it, everything looks correct at this point. Lock workstation using [CTRL][ALT][DEL],[K] then unlock and when you return to windows, presto the taskbar buttons are on the other display. This only seems to happen the first time outlook is opened. If I correct the problem by moving to the other window and back again, then minimize, lock workstation and unlock it still looks correct. If you close outlook and open it again you can create this problem once again.

Thanks for the information. Unfortunately I can't reproduce the problem on my system (XP SP1), but I think it is related to minimizing the application.

I'll look into this for the next release.
