Hello,
For some reason I am unable to install RC1. The installer keeps displaying "Ultramon setup ended prematurely because of an error. Your system has not been modified. (etc)". The same thing occurs if I try to reinstall B7. I tried removing all registry keys pertaining to Ultramon, but it did not help. I have been able to install other programs that use the same kind of Windows Installer, so I don't think it's my specific configuration or computer. Any suggestions?
Thanks, JMik

Make sure that msiexec.exe isn't already running when you run setup. If it is, kill the process using task manager.
If that doesn't help, try downloading the .msi file again, it's possible that it was corrupted during download (try downloading without using a download tool).

I'm afraid redownloading it didn't help and there are no other instances in memory. I noticed some of the other users saying they had to try several times to get it to work. Can anybody tell me how they resolved their problem(s)?
Thanks again, JMik

If you have upgraded from a previous version, make sure you followed the upgrade instructions in the release notes, also note the special instructions for Windows 2000 users.
You could also do a logged install and send me the log file:
- open a command prompt - change to the directory with the .msi file - type the following command: msiexec /i UltraMon20rc1.msi /l*v UltraMon.log - the UltraMon.log file will be created in the current directory
