is it possible, or simply not possible, to get TV and/or DVD displayed on a secondary monitor?
Is there software, or a workaround?

If the Mystique supports video overlays, DVD will work fine on the secondary using Zoom Player.
TV usually doesn't work on the secondary when using a video card with TV tuner, but should work fine using a stand-alone TV tuner card.

I have found that I cant get powerdvd to use the tvout properly(apparently designed this way from their FAQ) Windvd 3 allows you to drag the dvd window onto the tv screen and fullscreen it fine. Windvd 4 runs the dvd on the monitor, but in its options is a setting to mirror it full screen onto the tv (it detects the tvout)
As a general rule....to drag the dvd movies onto the tv (im always in extended desktop mode) the monitor also needs to be set at the tv refresh rate (60hz where i am) otherwise there isnt a pic in the dvd window when u drag it onto the tv. Also I have found I have to disable my second monitor for it to work. (I made a special profile in ultramon to disable 2nd monitor, and set my main monitors refresh rate to match the tv's in one hit)
* xp pro
* geforce2mx400 with tvout
* sis graphics card for second monitor (needs to be disabled while watching dvd on tvout for some reason)
* http://www.dvdidle.com to remove the macrovision issue you get when displaying to the tv, specially when running through a vid player first ;)
Hope it works for you, it works on my gf2mx but i dont know much about other cards behaviour.
