Greetings, I have only been running dual monitors a few weeks, but thanks to this site, and the help of Christan, I have a pretty stable installation.
My homebuilt Win98 SE2 system is pretty humble right now. I am running a AMD K6-2 at 375 MHz (5 X 75FSB) on an old (circa 1995!) Asus T2P4 Momboard. I have 64 MB RAM, and (2) 10 MB SCSI HDD and one 10 MB EIDE HDD. I have two CD ROM towers on the system with a total of 12 CD ROMS. Drive letters A-O assigned!
I have one 19” Gateway 2000 EV900 and a 15” Sony 15sf2 as displays. The high voltage section on the Sony seems a little weak, but other wise is a great picture.
The last bug left is pretty minor, but annoying. One of my monitors is always darker then the other. When my system goes to sleep, or I do a re-boot, the monitors will flip-flop and the other monitor will now be dark. I constantly have to adjust my brightness and contrast settings only to have them change! Any ideas or experience with this problem? Thanks, BiLL
Where do I go now that I have gone too Far?
