I'm running a G450 Matrox with their DualHead software under WinXP. Would your software conflict with DualHead, especially the hot key functions that do the same thing yours do? I would like some of your functions(dual wallpaper and dual screensaver) but don't want conflicts.

Should work fine, but I haven't done in-depth testing with UltraMon and Matrox PowerDesk.

I'm currently using windows 2k pro, a matrox 550 and when using different resolutions on each monitor, i've yet to be able to get a screen saver to work on the second monitor.. I get it to work on the primary, but secondary just appears black... I have updated to the latest matrox drivers, and have the powerdesk applet working in the background as well. I just know as soon as i click on preview mode for display 1, i either get locked up, blue screened, or just simply rebooted, no questions asked ;)
What can I do to get the same screen saver on both, or better yet, a different one on each.. I'm trying to use Euphoria (openGL) right now..

OK, figured out it was because of opengl... I setup the matrix screen saver (the chaossoft version) for display one, with anything/nothing set for display 2, i get the matrix on both. Fine with me actually, but for some reason, when I change the settings for primary to go to 1600x1200 (my normal resolution), the secondary monitor (which is at 1280x1024) switches to some lower resolution.. is this normal? Anyway to specify the res on the secondary? You get a choice on the top for the display adapter in the settings for the screen saver itself, one is just a g550, and the other being the dualhead, but if i select the g550 adapter for display 1, set it to 1600x1200, i lock up. So when i go to display 2, do the settings, set it to the dualhead adapter, and 1280x1024, i go back to display one, and it has the settings for display 2?
Ugh i'm confused.. i need a "ultramon for dumba**'s" book!

Setting up screen savers can be tricky, you may have to experiment a bit to get a working configuration.
The Matrix Code Emulator has native multi-monitor support, if you configure it to run on the primary monitor it will run on all monitors. This applies to all screen savers with native multi-monitor support. If you want to run it only on the primary monitor, make sure 'preview mode' is checked.
To configure the Matrix screen saver, click Settings on the Primary tab (or any other, doesn't matter), select the device and assign a resolution. Repeat this for each device.
If you have problems with OpenGL screen savers, try disabling secondary monitors on the Options tab.

Here is how I have done it. Some screen savers work on both monitors...some don't. What I have done is cloned my display monitor to appear on the second. That way when the screensaver comes on....it's copied onto the second monitor. I've made a hotkey for it as well....so when I want to do this....I just hit ctrl + 12 and it switches to this mode and vica versa. 2 ways you can do this. 1)go to your matrox quickdesk icon in the lower right corner. click once to get menu. Go to hot keys. Go to dual head clone and double click. There will be a hot key assignment in the top right. click in the box and press the keys that you want to be your hotkey. like ctrl + 12 at the same time. Once it's in there....click save and try it out. Another way to get there is...right click on desktop. Go to settings. go to advanced. click on dual head. click + sign next to features. Then double click dual head clone. Then click on hot keys. Then double click on dual head clone again. There you can enter in what you want to be your hot key. Then try it out. Hope I've helped.
