System is a Intel 2.4GHz Quad Core, XP Pro SP3, running an NVIDIA GeForce 8600GT, dual monitor. I have the latest drivers installed. I installed the latest UltraMon 3.0 Beta version. UltraMon seems to run good on both monitors... until I reboot. Windows restarts in 640x480, 8bit color mode and says it has restarted with the default video driver because my driver is not compatible with the latest version of Windows. I re-install the latest NVIDIA driver, the system reboots, comes up perfect, and UltraMon loads. I reboot and it comes up in the low res, 8bit version again. I did not have this problem prior to installing UltraMon. I have now uninstalled UltraMon, rebooted several times, and every time the video comes up perfect. Please advise on any potential solution.

I have the exact same problem with version 2.7.1 and 3.0.2.
Using NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS, XP Pro SP2, Dual Core 6600 @ 2.40GHz, Samsung SynMaster 245b(plus) and Samsung SyncMaster 225bw. Also got the latest drivers installed.
Any solution for this?

I found the fix on this forum (here) and it worked for me;
"This seems to be a compatibility issue with UltraMon's mirroring feature and some video card driver versions, removing the mirroring feature will fix the problem.
To do this, deselect the mirroring feature on the Customize Installation screen during setup."
