I've set the rule for outlook 2007 to open in a location on monitor 2 which it does perfectly. but any pop-up window that opens, for example an email message, alert, reminder, etc. they just open up on the main monitor which is outlook's default. Is there anyway for ultramon to apply these rules to the process tree instead of just the main root program window? it's quite obnoxious and defeats the entire purpose of setting up the rule.

UltraMon can't move child/popup/dialog windows, but you can move the window to the secondary monitor and close it there, Outlook should then open the window in the same position the next time.

yea i know that. but that's only beneficial if i open up the SAME email message. Not new email messages. it treats every email message different so it couldn't be a global thing. is there a reason why it can't do child windows? it would be quite helpful for these situations. could you not just apply it to the process (outlook*32.exe) everything is grouped under that single process

Even if you restart Outlook? This worked fine for me the last time I tested it (not sure with which version though).

UltraMon's application positioning feature wasn't designed to position child windows, but it's certainly something that might get added in a future release. ZMover should be able to do this.
