hi guys!
i was using ultramon's hotkey-scripts function very happily, until i ran system mechanic. after that, whenever i pressed a hotkey, notepad showed up instead of ultramon function.
any idea why this is the case?

Do you have the script code in Notepad, or just a blank window?

Sounds like the default action for .vbs files has been changed to edit instead of open.
To fix this, run regedit.exe, select the key HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\VBSFile\Shell, then change the (Default) value from Edit back to Open.

hmmm, i changed the default value to &Open, but then i got:
Failed to execute "c:\program file\ultramon\..."
Any idea why? Thanks a lot man!

That's probably due to the &, the value should be Open, without the &.

I'm not sure what would cause this. You could send me a copy of the HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\VBSFile registry key to support@realtimesoft.com and I'll take a look at it, to export the key right-click it and select Export from the menu to save it to a .reg file.
