Which visual style are you using, for example Aero, Vista Basic or Vista Standard?
You can see which style is used under Control Panel > Personalization > Window Color and Appearance > Open classic appearance properties.

Hi Christian, this is using Windows Vista Basic... AERO 3D FLIP is turned on, but the style is Vista Basic (not the fanzy transparent style).
Hope that helps

How did you set this up? For me Flip3D is disabled if I'm using the Vista Basic style, I just get a regular ALT+TAB dialog.

well, this happens with Windows Vista Enterprise. Nevertheless, with or w/out aero, you should be able to reproduce the problem with the Vista Basic theme... right?

Vista Basic works fine for me with Office.
The weird thing is that you get the Aero UltraMon buttons, with Vista Basic the UltraMon buttons should also match the Vista Basic look.
My guess would be that you are using the Vista Basic theme but still have desktop composition enabled somehow, I don't know how this can be set up though, usually desktop composition is enabled with Aero and Vista Standard, and disabled with Vista Basic.

Chris, I have uploaded a new screenshot with my theme configuration right here.
You can see that the problem only happens with Office, since it has a slightly different interface. IE/other apps are fine.
Hope that helps

The problem is that UltraMon thinks you are using Aero, but you're actually using Vista Basic.
I'm not sure though how this would happen. Let me know if you have any special settings configured.
Here's a screenshot of how the UltraMon buttons should look like with Vista Basic: screenshot

As a workaround, you could disable the window buttons for Office 2007 applications, you can do this via UltraMon Options > Compatibility.

Yeah... it must be something to do with my SKU (Vista Enterprise)... I disabled the buttons within office and it works just fine. Thanks!
