I need some help guys and gals.
I have Windows XP Service Pack2 32bit version. I am using an Alienware skin to change the look of my desktop. I am not sure but I think this skin is causing some compatibility problems for me.
When I open my Internet Explorer7, the two buttons that were added to allow me to move a program from one monitor to another or to stretch it across all monitors, those buttons are directly placed over my minimize button. Buttons on top of each other isn't a good thing. I am not sure if this is a problem with my skin or a problem with IE7 or something else entirely.
I am not sure if UltraMon supports this or not and have yet to find out on my own through all my clicking. I wanted to put the same desktop icon on both monitors. For example, Internet Explorer. I want to double click the icon on my primary monitor and it to open a window there. I want to click the Internet Explorer icon on the external monitor and it to open a window there. I am not sure if this is possible. If anyone knows if I can do this or not, your feed back is greatly appreciated.
Thanks Brian

Ok, I am back. I have found the problem with the buttons on top of each other. It was in fact a direct result of the Alienware skin I have. Once I removed the skin the bottons landed in the correct place. I am wondering though if UltraMon will make their program compatiable with Alienware skins. Their skins are great and offer features that are very handy.
I still dont have an answer to the icon questions. If anyone can help, I would be greatful. Thanks Brian

I would recommend installing the 3.0 Beta 2 version of UltraMon, as far as I know the Alienware skin is a WindowBlinds skin, and UltraMon 3 has better support for WindowBlinds.
To open IE via an icon on each monitor, right-click your existing IE icon, select Properties from the menu, then select the UltraMon - Window tab and set the 'on monitor' option to Monitor with Mouse. Now create a copy of the icon and move it to the other monitor.

Hey, thanks for the message. I do have the newest version of this program and did in fact figure out how to move the buttons to keep them from overlapping one another. Thanks
About the icons. I took your suggestion and went into properties and changed the icon as you said. (For some reason some icons have the UltraMon section and some don't) I then made a copy and moved it to my other monitor and then changed its properties as well. The problem is, if what ever monitor I open that program on, the changes I made on the other monitor switch back so that they both open on the same monitor. In other words, I can't seem to get it to work. What am I doing wrong? I am sure it is some setting somewhere.
Thanks Brian

Do you have the 'on monitor' option set to Monitor with Mouse?
