Hi,
My setup: XP SP2, ATI X1950XT card, a Sony 23" LCD monitor (1920x1200@60Hz) and an LG 47" LCD HDTV (1920x1080@60Hz).
I can switch between the Sony and the LG, using a hotkey I set up in the ATI control panel. But when I switch between the two, the screen resolution does NOT automatically change.
Is it possible to switch between the two and to have the screen rez automatically change and preserve desktop icon positions??? Thanks.

Yes. I want to switch between the two without having to manually set resolution for each monitor. The two will display the same XP desktop.

Changing the primary monitor and setting the correct resolution should work fine with an UltraMon display profile, but you should test this first with the trial version.
The icons could be a problem, if you have lots of them they may get rearranged due to the different resolutions.
UltraMon has no built-in solution for this, but it would be possible to manually save and load two sets of icon positions, one for each configuration. See this thread for more on this.
