Seems to have been beta 1 for a few months now. What's the likelihood of a beta 2 soon.

The second 3.0 beta is still under development, I don't have a release date yet.

What is the biggest hold up preventing ou from being able to move forward?
It seems like you are waiting to do 20 things at once before releasing next. I think it would be better if you released a new beta each time you got an individual function working, this would show that you are actually working on the program and get a lot of people of your back about updates. I dont mind if one of the functions I am trying to use doesn't quite work yet so long as we are actually moving towards have thing the complete program working.

Any frther update yet?
Getting a little bored of Ultramon having grief with Vista, being a developer myself I do understand that these things take time but it has now been 6 months since the last release!

The window buttons/menu commands feature needs to be completely redesigned for Vista, so that will need to be released in one piece.
Beta 2 will have the new window button feature, as well as Smart Taskbar bug fixes.

Cristian ... please release beta 2 ... I am almost convinced to make my own application instead and I would rather just use yours than compete.
In a beta you should not go 6 months with no new builds. It doesn't even matter if they have problems, release them anyways to keep people from giving up on you and your program.

That was a pretty ludicrous post. You don't release software based on a time table *only* - you release it when the functionality is at a par to consider testing from outside an organization.

I reckon you're about half right there. Major feature changes should be done as a separate branch, so they don't cause a roadblock for the bug fixes. Two things to be brutal about though - how many of us use Vista yet (so how important is that part) and is there a comparable product out there that does yet another bit that microsoft has again missed on?

Will the next beta release have the capaibility in Vista to mirror a monitor?
|
Christian Studer 2007-09-13 09:03
This won't be in the second beta, support for mirroring under Vista is planned for the third beta.
