Bit odd this. I have Newsgator Inbox installed for Outlook 2002. If UM 3 is running before Outlook starts, Newsgator gets stuck as it starts its retrieval process.
If UM is not running at the time, all is fine.
If I'm forced onto one monitor - using RDC for instance, all is fine regardless.
Thought I'd mention it here, in case its a symptom of something deeper.

Might be due to the hooks used by the Smart Taskbar, please check if the problem also goes away if you disable the Smart Taskbar before starting Outlook.
You can do this via UltraMon Options > Smart Taskbar.

Yes - if I switch the smart taskbar to mirror, not standard, it behaves fine.
Only seems to be a problem on startup though?

I would recommend testing again with the second beta when available, my guess would be that this issue will be fixed, due to the second beta handling hooks differently.

NB: found that NG crashes Outlook when it manages to start its updates - this is when UM is running in smart tookbar mode, having been started after OL starts.
I've disabled NG auto updates mode for now, but will test again when UM 3 b2 appears!
