Hi!

I just got the trial version of Ultramon and started fiddeling with it. I have a Dell XPS with a nVidia Geforce 6800 Go running on Windows Xp SP 2. Right now I am trying to get Starcraft working on two separate screens.
I want to play on my Laptop and have others watch on my TV.
My Laptop-Screen resolution is 1920x1200 and Starcraft runs in 640x480 as far as I know.
When I use the nView software to clone the Laptop-Screen it turns the resolution down to 1024x768 for both screens. When I start Starcraft then I am able to play on my Laptop and watch the game on the TV.

What I cant get to work though is the fact that I would like to keep my Laptop resolution at 1920x1200 and just have it switched when I start Starcraft. Also it would be nice if the resolution switched back, when I shift to Windows.
I got Ultramon to clone my screen onto the TV perfectly so that I can see the whole screen without the tv scrolling. But when I start Starcraft it only works on the primary screen while the secondary shows my wallpaper inverted.

Thank you for reading this

Greetings

Tobi (please excuse my english, I am German)

Please try the following: under mirroring settings, set both monitors to the resolution used by the game, for example 640x480. Start mirroring, then launch the game. My guess would be that this will fix the issue with the wallpaper getting shown.

I'm not sure though if UltraMon will actually be able to mirror the game, for example DirectDraw or Direct3D/OpenGL usually can't be mirrored by UltraMon.

To change display settings when launching the game, right-click the application's shortcut, select Properties from the menu, then configure the settings on the UltraMon - Display tab as desired.

I just tried these settings and I still cannot get it to work right.
When I set both resolutions to the settings needed for the game I can play regularly on the primary screen. I can see the menu on my TV, but when I do something it stays stuck.

Since it is working with the nView mirroring. I was wondering if anybody knew a way to hook a profile to my Starcraft.exe so that it would switch to mirroring in the working resolution and then start the game. Allthough I am not sure if Ultramon is still the right choice then.

Thanks

Tobias

UltraMon can't enable the video card's clone mode.
