I know 3.0 is coming soon, but in the interim is there a recommendation for which version (32bit or 64bit) of Ultramon 2.7.1 to install on Vista64?

This is a good question, as I am about to build a Gaming rig with 4gb of ram, and 2 Asus 8800 units on a Asus Striker board. And I need it to run in 64bit mode otherwise it will only allow 2.2gb of ram. Will Ver3 be setup for Vista64 Ultimate?

You'll need to install the 64-bit version, the 32-bit version won't run on 64-bit operating systems.
2.7.1 does work on 64-bit Vista, for known issues see Windows Vista compatibility. UltraMon 3 will also be available in both 32-bit and 64-bit versions.
