Understand that mirroring is not supported on Vista yet. Vista is still looking for PnP driver each time a reboot. I also removed Ultramon and reloaded v.2.71 to no avail. Is there a way to permanently tell Vista not to look for this driver? Thanks

Unfortunately I found no way to get rid of the message on Vista RTM, even if you tell Windows to not install a driver for the device you will still get the same prompt after the next reboot.

Please note that this is only an issue with UltraMon versions prior to 2.7.1. Version 2.7.1 won't install the mirroring feature on Vista.

Vista business 64-bit with ultramon 2.7.1 has appart from the known problems, no move buttons and different taskbar style, not really more problems.
Sometimes a process is listed on multiple monitors, like one on the primary and one on the secundary monitor. But I do not have any problems with a PnP driver.
Maybe the final version has some slight changes to the RTM version.

Are we sure that there is no other way to remove this message. Vista is looking for mirroring drivers. I just want to trick Vista to stop looking for these drivers each time I reboot.

Thanks -Solstice

Another user reported that removing the driver from the recovery console worked fine for him.

You can access the recovery console by booting from the setup DVD.
