Hi,

Can Ultramon remember where a Window was located last time?
When i start my Windows all my Program Windows are on strange Positions of my seconde Monitor.

How can i fix that? This happens to all programms (like Firefox or the Sound control center)

You can use UltraMon to move the application to a specific monitor, but you would need to configure this separately for each application.

To do this, right-click the application's shortcut, select Properties from the menu, then configure the settings on the UltraMon - Window tab as desired.

Please note that UltraMon may not be able to position all applications.

I have a problem.
Being married, my wife sometimes logs onto my computer, by switching user (XP SP2).
When I log back on I loose my dual monitor configuration, and it takes me awhile to rearrange my icons the way I want.

Any fixes for this would be appreciated.

Thanks

Dave

Restoring icon positions via UltraMon should fix this, icon positions are saved per user.

To do this, right-click the UltraMon icon in the system tray, then select Desktop Icons > Restore Position from the menu.

This happened last night and again today.
When I come home to my computer, all the icons are on monitor 1.

I remember awhile ago, you showed me something about saving a particlular registry key, and placing it on the desktop. Then I could run the reg file to restore my desktops.

thanks

That would be possible, but shouldn't be necessary.

If restoring icon positions doesn't work, go to UltraMon Options > General and uncheck 'preserve position of desktop icons'.

UltraMon will then no longer automatically save icon positions during shutdown, but you can still manually save/restore icon positions.
