AMD Athlon64 x2 4800+ 7800GTX 2 Monitors Ultramon Windows XP SP2
Monitor 1 is the primary monitor. I have setup shortcut settings using ultramon so when I load World of Warcraft, it will change the primary monitor to Monitor 2, and load World of Warcraft onto Monitor 1. By doing this Warcraft uses a lot of cpu resources, the performance of the game drops considerably, and I can visually see the second monitor drawing the screen as I move windows around.
Windows Task Manager reports WoW using 50% cpu (as opposed to 8% when not using the shortcut settings) and System using 10% (as opposed to 0% when not using shortcut settings).
Basically I am trying to change the default monitor to load programs on to Monitor 2, only whilst I am playing World of Warcraft. Is this feesable?

It is worth noting, that if I leave Monitor 1 as primary, and load World of Warcraft, it works perfectly. I can then manually switch Monitor 2 to primary whilst WoW is loaded.

I've created 2 profiles, one with monitor1 as primary, and the other as monitor2. Then created a simple vbs to activate profile 1, sleep 1sec, run wow, sleep 1sec, activate profile 2.
Seems like a hack, but it works for now :)

As far as I know the problem is that most games are hardcoded to use the 3D device for the primary monitor for rendering.
