I have an IBM ThinkPad t42 running Windows XP and i want to have my "secondary" monitor (17"lcd) set as my primary while the laptop's screen be the secondary. But in the windows display properties and the ultramon taskbar, the options are grayed out. Is there a setting i need to change either in windows or in ultramon that will fix this.
Thanks!

UltraMon (and Windows) usually can't change the primary monitor on laptops, but you should be able to do this via the software for the video chipset.

I actually figured out that if i play around with the function + F7 button i can change which is the primary. From what i can tell there are three setting its cycles through, primay = laptop, primary = external and both monitors show the same thing. Once i set the external to primary i simply enabled the seconardy(laptop) and have been fine since.
