In an SLI mobo if you have no intention of running SLI but just want to run four monitors do both cards have to be the same?

Hi Patsy
I use already for some time an Asus A8N-SLI mobo wit 1 XFX Nvidia 6800GT and 1 Matrox Parhelia AVPe videocard with a total of 5 monitors without any problem.
