PC: Pentium 4 650 3,4GHz 1 GB DDR2-667 ECC RAM (2x512MB) 160GB SATA hdd DVD/CD-RW Drive
Graphic Card: Matrox QID-E128LPA, PCI Express Version Matrox QID-QDAP128, PCI Version
Monitors: 1 x 17” LCD 6 x 42” Plasma
Software: Windows XP Professional Matrox Driver UltraMon 2.6 + ScreenSaver
Goal: 1. Able to run and control everything from the LCD 2. Since the Plasma Monitors are all over the office building, it should be able to “see” the Desktop of the Plasma on the LCD 3. Run multiple Videos, Flash and PPP files
Problems encountered so far: 1. Is it possible to have the taskbar only on Monitor 1, which is the LCD? 2. At the moment, the only way to move and maximise a media player on Monitor Nr. 2 is by right-click on the taskbar, move it to Monitor 2 and then moving the mouse over to Monitor 2 and double-clicking the Media Player for full screen. Is there a possibility to see Monitor 2 (and all others) on the LCD? 3. When I open an mpg file (High Definition and appr. 121mb big) and have it run full screen on Monitor 2, the video freezes after around 20sec although the run time is still counting. On Monitor 1 (LCD) there’s no such problem. I don’t think its an hardware issue since the PC should be powerful enough. Or can’t the QID handle that specific coded file?

I think this might be the wrong Sub-Forum. Can't edit or move the Thread myself, sorry.

1) ensure that the LCD is the primary monitor, then disable the Smart Taskbar via UltraMon Options > Smart Taskbar
2) you can do this with the monitor preview feature: UltraMon menu > Mirroring > Monitor Preview.
Please note that the previews are realtime, and can use quite a bit of CPU. You should test if performance is sufficient for your needs
3) might be a display driver issue, or if it's an MPEG2 file an issue with the MPEG2 decoder. I would try if you have the same problem with other video formats, for example WMV, as well
