"Failed to set systray icon" error message on startup
Running Ultramon 2.6.23.0 on Windows XP SP2 (latest updates) - set to run automatically from registry ( HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run ) with ultramon.exe /auto
Above error message appear after windows login - after clicking OK to the message, no icons appear in the systray and Start button/taskbar seems hung for 30-60 seconds, after which roughly half the normal number of icons appear in the systray.
If I remove the above registry entry and restart windows, everything loads fine, and then I can manually run Ultramon with no problems.
Any ideas?

Delaying UltraMon startup should fix the problem, see this thread for details.

I am having the EXACT same problem and it is very frustrating. delaying the startup time did absolutely nothing. please help!.
