Hi all,
I'm having trouble with the taskbar covering up desktop icons. I have auto arrange set and my taskbar stretched to 2 "blocks" because I usually have a lot of programs open and hate that stupid "group" function in windows XP... My OS is SP2 and the video card is a GEForce FX 5200. If there is another topic for this, I apologize. I looked, but couldn't find one.

Make sure the taskbar is set to be Always on Top.
To change the setting, right-click a free area of the taskbar and check or uncheck Always on Top.
