Forums -> UltraMon™ -> Primary Monitor & Start Menu + icons

I currently run 3 monitors (soon to be 5) for stock trading. Monitor #2 is identified as the primary monitor but the Windoz Start Menu and my desktop icons remain on monitor #1.

Is there any way to have the Start Menu move to a new primary monitor? Also, if I adjust positions of the monitors, I'd expect the icons on monitor 1 to follow to the newly identified monitor.

Am I in the right ballpark?

You can move the Windows taskbar to monitor 2 by grabbing a free area of the taskbar with the mouse and dragging it to the desired monitor.

The icons can also be moved to the other monitor with the mouse: first select all the icons, then drag them to the other monitor.

You'll need to adjust the Smart Taskbar configuration after moving the Windows taskbar, to do this move the UltraMon taskbar from monitor 2 to monitor 1 by grabbing the bottom-right corner of the taskbar with the mouse, then right-click the taskbar and adjust the 'Show Tasks from' setting so that it only shows tasks from monitor 1.
